Goal Planning

Big or small, everyone has goals that they want to accomplish. There are some goals you’re able to fulfil and others that you’re not. With proper planning a lot of this can be managed. Savings, on their own are not enough. And most people who invest, do so in an ad-hoc manner. When the markets look promising, they follow the trend and invest like others do. When the volatility sets in, they worry over their investments and take uninformed decisions.

FAQs on Axis Large %26 Mid Cap Fund

Axis Large & Midcap Fund is an open-ended equity scheme investing in both large- and mid-cap companies, along with a global allocation. It aims to deliver long-term capital appreciation through a diversified, high-conviction portfolio of domestic and international equities.

The scheme was earlier called Axis Growth Opportunities Fund. It was renamed Axis Large & Midcap Fund effective June 2025, while retaining its core investment strategy.

  • Domestic allocation: ~75–85%, focused on large- and mid-cap companies
  • Global allocation: ~15–25%, providing access to international markets and sectors not available in India
  • Portfolio built through bottom-up, high-conviction stock selection

The above framework is broadly indicative and the fund manager may change the framework depending on the market conditions.

  • Balanced exposure to India’s growth via large and mid-cap stocks
  • Access to global themes and innovative companies
  • Diversification benefits to withstand event shocks
  • Professional management combining local expertise and global insights

Domestic stocks are selected based on:

  • Innovative and entrepreneurial companies
  • Market leaders in emerging and high-growth industries
  • Stocks where current price doesn’t reflect future potential
  • ESG factors: financial, environmental, social, and governance

Global allocation (advised by Schroders Investment Management):

  • Access to developed and emerging markets like the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Asia
  • High-conviction global equity strategy

The above framework is broadly indicative and the fund manager may change the framework depending on the market conditions.

  • Exposure to global themes and companies not available in India
  • Investment in innovation-driven sectors
  • Diversification that enhances portfolio resilience.

  • Global economy is shifting toward geopolitics and domestic growth
  • India remains resilient with strong capex and consumption
  • Global allocation helps manage volatility and supports diversification
  • Despite rich valuations, select large- and mid-cap opportunities remain attractive,

Investors who:

  • Want a mix of large-cap stability and mid-cap growth
  • Seek diversification across domestic and international equities
  • Have a long-term horizon (5+ years)
  • Are comfortable with equity and currency market risks

  • Market volatility and sectoral cycles
  • Higher risk-return potential in mid-caps
  • Currency and international market risks from global allocation
Mitigation: Diversification and disciplined stock selection.

A minimum of 5 years is recommended to capture long-term growth across India and global markets.
